  1. Shred the potatoes into small pieces, put them in a clean kitchen towel, and squeeze out all the moisture—important to ensure that your hash browns are crispy.
  2. Pre-fry them in 93°C oil for 5-6 minutes (the oil should not be hotter; otherwise, the recipe won’t work).
  3. Shape them into the typical McDonald’s hash brown shape (or any shape you prefer) and freeze them for at least 2 hours.
  4. Deep-fry them until golden brown and crispy.
  5. We topped our hash browns with avocado and sriracha mayo!
